A Non-Invasive Approach to Pathogen Detection

Your routine health checks provide an opportunity to analyse the microbes living alongside your fish without any additional need for handling or stress.

By sampling water from the anaesthetic bath before and after fish have been introduced, it's possible to detect the microbes shed by the livestock. This creates a snapshot of the collective microbial community associated with multiple fish, rather than swabbing from individuals.
